Rock sculptures formed by erosion		   After achieving my masters in geology I have learnt to know Namibia through the eyes of a geologist, and now I like nothing more than sharing this enthusiasm with my clients, be they novice, the keen amateur or professional geologists. Namibia is world-famous as a "Geological Eldorado". Fascinating rock formations give evidence of ancient mountain ranges, Polar Regions and tropical oceans in what are nowadays deserts. We will visit the relicts of gigantic volcanoes, vast salt pans and “rock art” created by weathering and erosion. We will collect some of the oldest rocks on the planet, find fossils, and dig for rare minerals and gemstones, study prehistoric rock art and visit both new and old mining operations. From local prospectors you will be able to purchase a genuine highlight for your collection, at unbeatable prices. Professional geologists and people with scientific interest will find Namibia a mecca to study the “Snow-ball Earth theory“, granite weathering, global tectonics, plutonism, paleo-climatology and much more. But, beside rocks and science, you will not miss the other attractions Namibia has to offer, such as the fascinating fauna, flora and its interesting people.
